Upcoming Rollback Netcode Update in One of the Best Modern Fighting Games – Release Date

On January 20, the highly acclaimed fighting game, Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2, is set to receive a rollback netcode update, which will significantly improve the overall online experience. This much-anticipated update, which was announced via the official Guilty Gear Twitter account, has been welcomed by the game’s community. It’s a great news for players with substandard internet connections, as the rollback update will make the game playable online and reduce lag and freezes.

Arc System Works is not the only developer to implement rollback updates to their games. Back in December 2021, they announced that Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle and Blazblue: Central Fiction will be receiving an overhaul to their online infrastructure. Similarly, Dragonball FighterZ also got its own rollback announcement during Evo 2022.

The rollback update is not only beneficial for players, but also for the developer. It increases the game’s concurrent players, leading to more sales and revenue. Additionally, it also earns positive points with the gaming community, which is essential for the success of upcoming projects.
