Which of the following is your favorite games announcement? Don’t forget to leave a comment below.

On Tuesday, August 24th, Xbox took the stage at Gamescom 2021, revealing a number of updates on upcoming games for its platforms, such as Forza Horizon 5, but leaving out one game for which fans are waiting – Halo Infinite.

If you were unable to attend the live broadcast, you can see everything that was announced at the Xbox conference in this article – and we advise you to temper your expectations right away, given that just a few new games were announced.

Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 has begun Xbox transmission – the much-anticipated successor to Techland’s zombie game, whose release date is set for December 7th.

You may see the video above shown at the conference now and get a sense of the world of gaming, combat, parkour, and a variety of other mechanics

Microsoft Flight Simulator

The Microsoft Flight Simulator made an appearance during the event as well. In an interview with Jorg Neumann, the guy behind the game, further details were revealed about the upcoming seventh global update, which will include Germany, Austria, and Sweden, and whose release date is scheduled for the 7th of September. A Competition mode for Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming later this year

The game will also feature a massive expansion that will include all of the world’s most famous race planes, some of which are capable of flying at speeds of up to 500 miles per hour and at altitudes ranging from 50 to 250 feet above the surface of the planet, allowing friends and strangers to compete against one another at the planet’s apogee.

Another innovation was announced during the conference: the expansion of the multi-player competitive Reno Air Race, which will launch this summer and allow you to compete against friends or other people from all around the world. In addition, a futuristic helicopter known as VeloCity will be included in the game in November, much to the dismay of many fans. Unfortunately, no new information has been released about the Top Gun franchise’s expansion.

Humbles Games Partnership

During the conference, the Xbox revealed that it had partnered with Humble Games in order to continue to show its support for independent game development. As a result, titles supported by Humble Games will get a direct release on Xbox Game Pass, which will continue to add independent titles to its roster of offerings.

Archvale, Bushiden, Chinatown Detective Agency, the already-released Dodgeball Academia in Brazil, Flynn: Son of Crimson, Midnight Fight Express, Next Space Rebels, Signalis, Unpacking, and Unsighted are some of the games that are on their way to the Xbox 360 and PC, with the possibility of making their debut on the Microsoft Store.

Into the Pit

In addition, a video for Into the Pit, a “retro first-person shooter roguelite” with high velocities that aims to “challenge your reflexes and abilities,” has been released. The release date for the game is set for September 19th, and it will be available as a direct launch on the Game Pass.

Age of Empires 4

Following that, it was time for Age of Empires 4 to make its way onto the stage, along with an extensive video about the trebuchet, a medieval weapon that is more or less similar to a catapult.

Also, check everything we know so far about the game.

Cloud Gaming

The announcements about the Xbox Game Pass continued with what was, without a doubt, the highlight of the whole conference: the addition of Cloud Gaming to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for Xbox consoles. This means that Xbox One owners who have purchased the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play games from the previous generation, such as Flight Simulator X and The Medium, via the cloud this year, according to Microsoft.

Wasteland 3: Cult of The Holy Detonation

The next Wasteland 3 DLC, titled Cult of the Holy Detonation, will be released on September 5th, according to the game’s website. This DLC, which takes place in the Cheyenne Mountain military complex, was created with players of the 16th level in mind and will include new characters, enemies, equipment, challenges, and labyrinthine lairs where you will have to kill a lot of mutants.

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves was not forgotten, with a new collaboration with Borderlands to be announced during the event. From now until the 7th of September, you will be able to take part in this crossover and receive Borderlands cosmetics for your ship, as well as participate in missions that are completely random!

State of Decay 2: Homecoming

The zombie game State of Decay 2: Homecoming will also receive an update on September 1st, which will expand and redevelop the map while also rewriting some of the game’s stories. In addition, it was revealed that the game has already exceeded the milestone of 10 million players, which is a truly remarkable achievement.

Stray Blade

Stray Blade, a new action role-playing game developed by 505 Games and produced by Point Blank, will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC in 2022, according to the developers.

Despite the short trailer, which lasts barely more than 30 seconds, it is clear that Stray Blade is a game with a lot of potential. It features intense and strategic combat that will put your reflexes to the test, locations that are constantly changing and that change depending on who visits them, battles against massive and powerful adversaries, and the exploration of mysterious locations.

Crusader Kings 3

Following the release of Stray Blade, and in line with what leaks have previously shown, it has been confirmed that Crusader Kings 3 will be coming to Xbox, but no specific release date has been announced as of yet.

Psychonauts 2

During the conference, Psychonauts 2 was also given some airtime, a game that is currently receiving a lot of positive feedback from the critics.

The Gunk

The Gunk, developed by the same company that created SteamWorld, has received a new gameplay video. Its release was originally scheduled for September, but it has now been confirmed that it will arrive in December. The game will cost 29,99 euros for the Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC, but you will be able to get access to it via the Game Pass subscription service.

Forza Horizon 5

Finally, and in order to bring the conference to a close in grand style, the Xbox revealed more images of one of its most anticipated titles, Forza Horizon 5.

As was expected, a new video for the game has been released, which shows the first 8 minutes of gameplay and provides a more in-depth look at the game’s environments, graphics, and vehicles that you will be able to drive.

It was also revealed that the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the Ford Bronco Badlands, both of which will debut in the game’s finale, will be included in the game’s campaign.

Finally, it was announced a Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Controller (pretty cool).

This list is a summary of everything that was announced at Gamescom 2021 – the biggest surprise was the absence of Halo Infinite, although the most certain thing is that the game will be shown today, during the Opening Night Live. What is your favorite part of the conference and why?
