As the gap between PS5 and Xbox Series X narrows, the worldwide hardware estimates for August 1-7 show that PS5 has a little lead.

According to VGChartz projections, the Nintendo Switch sold 293,514 copies for the week ending August 7. At the time of this writing, it is believed that Switch has sold around 89.32 million copies lifetime.

Estimated sales of 180,170 PlayStation 5s brought the lifetime sales total to 10.62 million systems. After selling 125,591 Xbox Series X consoles, the company has shipped over 6.5 million systems.

Estimated sales figures from the PlayStations 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo 3DS put the PlayStation 4 at about 28,346 units sold, the Xbox One at around 12,639 units sold, and the Nintendo 3DS at 302 units sold.

According to the latest sales data, Switch sales are down a total of 152,265 units, compared to the same week a year ago (-34.2 percent ). Sony’s PS4 has fallen 102,109 units (78.3 percent), Microsoft’s Xbox One has declined by 17,265 units (57.7 percent), and Nintendo’s 3DS has declined by 4,745 units (28.2 percent) (-94.0 percent ).

Nintendo Switch sales increased by over 12,000 units each week in the three-week period, PlayStation 5 sales declined by over 50,000 units, while Xbox One|S sales were consistent.
