Might And Delight has announced a new early access date for Book Of Travels, their newest game. The game will be a TMORPG, or “tiny multiplayer online RPG,” as the developers describe it, or, as I prefer to put it, “the inverse of an MMORPG.”
Book Of Travels is one of those games that focuses on the journey rather than the destination, focusing on small-scale social interactions in a universe inspired by gorgeous Impressionist paintings. Because of its innovative approach to online gaming, interactions between players will be fairly limited, making them more memorable – or so Might and Delight promises.
Book Of Travels, like many other indie games, was made possible by a successful campaign on Kickstarter, our dream come true site. Of course, the game will retain many of the aspects of an MMO, but the emphasis will be on true RPGs rather than perpetual leveling.
Book Of Travels will be available for early access on Steam on October 11th, with an official release date of 2023.
