CD Projekt lowers its sales expectations for the re-release of Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt SA CEO Adam Kicinski welcomed people who, looking at the 9th Gen edition of Cyberpunk 2077, predict a surge in sales to a new investor meeting this weekend.

Kicinski stated in June 2021 that he expected a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, as well as its DLCs, to catapult the title back into the market, but it appears that expectations have dropped significantly.

Along with the shareholder statement, CD Projekt’s CEO reflected on the expectations set by investors and gave, if indirectly, clues to fans who are anticipating the release of the optimized version of Cyberpunk 2077 as an opportunity to experience a “game makeover.”

    According to CD Projekt’s CEO:

“I have a strong belief that game perception will improve greatly in the future. But I also believe there won’t be a ‘wow sales effect,’ and that we’ll see somewhat higher sales for Cyberpunk 2077, but nothing out of the ordinary. “

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for purchase on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and PC. It will be available for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
