David Brevik, Diablo’s creator, has stated that he would not be playing Diablo II: Resurrected
This has not been an easy time for Blizzard, which has faced several allegations of maintaining a hazardous work environment and abusing its employees. The company will even change the name of the Overwatch character McCree after being inspired by one of the executives.
Now, a new name has surfaced in opposition to the company’s practices. When asked whether he would play Diablo II: Resurrected, David Brevik responded directly, stating that he would not support Blizzard.
To those who are unfamiliar, David Brevik was a key figure in the development of the Diablo franchise’s first two games, contributing to the series’ conception.
Diablo II: Resurrected will be released officially on 23 September 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
