The community typically overlooks MMORPG design and quests because they are focused on reaching the end game or acquiring strong new equipment. Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a former mission director and CD Projekt RED designer, is going to change that by joining Riot Games’ planned League of Legends MMO.
On Twitter, Tomaszkiewicz revealed a huge professional development, announcing that he will be joining a new company soon to work on his ambitious MMO project.
Before reaching his ultimate decision, the former CDPR developer spent “the previous few months meeting and talking to a lot of excellent people and teams” at Riot Games, according to him. The former developer of The Witcher 2/3 and Cyberpunk 2077 has stated that he believes it is time for a new adventure and a shift.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz left CD Projekt RED in 2021 after working there for more than 12 years. Beginning with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition in 2008, he has worked on all of the studio’s titles.
Since then, Tomaszkiewicz has worked as a mission designer for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and as a co-writer and design director for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its DLCs. He played the quest director and co-writer in Cyberpunk 2077.
