Digital Bros forms Nesting Games, new Canadian studio led by former Ubisoft Québec employees

Digital Bros (the publisher of the 505 Games label) has announced the formation of a new development studio comprised of many producers, designers, and writers that formerly worked at Ubisoft studios.

Nesting Games is the name of the Quebec-based company that is home to numerous authors who have worked on titles such as Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. The desire to shift away from the open world RPG format in order to focus on more personal experiences like Mass Effect in the AAA industry is the reason creators have left Ubisoft:

The Nesting Games manifesto reads, “We want to get back to producing RPGs centered on immersion, excellent characters, dramatic storytelling, and solid gameplay.”

“We want to move away from the large open world paradigm, which is lots with icons to tidy, and return to content-based experiences that, in the end, value the player’s time.” Whether it’s a 30-hour or a 25-hour session, you’ll always get fascinating information and an enjoyable experience.”

“We are incredibly pleased to be co-owners of Nesting Games and to be working with such seasoned and imaginative creators,” Digital Bros. stated.

“Quebec City is a new video game industry powerhouse, and we think Nesting Games will be able to develop outstanding games with the complete creative freedom that Digital Bros. provides.”

The company presently employs 18 people, but applications for the positions of 3D artist, 3D animator, AI programmer, game designer, and character artist are now being accepted on the official website. At this point, all we have to do is wait for the first Nesting Games projects to be shown.
