In its most recent update, Cyberpunk 2077 suffers from Pop-in problems in character texturing once more
CD Projekt RED just updated their futuristic RPG Cyberpunk 2077, fixing the awful graphics that took a long time to load. The graphics for the NPCs were really loading before you spoke to them.
Unfortunately, it looks that the most recent patch has undone that work, since texture pop-ins have been noticed by players once more.
Clips of NPCs and their surroundings with pop-in textures are being uploaded on Reddit. One of the videos was reportedly taken on a PS4 Pro, indicating that this is no longer a problem with entry-level consoles.
“I played it on a PS4 Pro and, to be honest, I didn’t have too much problem with it at first. Whatever they changed in this patch truly messed things up, because I’m now having so much difficulty everywhere I go. “It’s really irritating, “writes Reddit user woomybii.
Another PC gamer stated that performance has suffered as a result of the latest patch, adding, “I swear the pop-in wasn’t that terrible when this game was launched!”
This is far from the only issue that has been identified since the release of patch 1.3. After the update went live, one modder was forced to offer a fan-made patch for a PC crash issue, and others uploaded film showing clustered NPC clones.
Whatever the case may be, something is definitely wrong with this patch, which, despite improving the game’s framerate, introduced several issues for Cyberpunk 2077, including resolution drops, the removal of visual beauties, less visible puddles, and now, the fearsome textures of characters who don’t load.
