Pokemon TV is now available on Nintendo Switch
Even though Pokemon TV is a strange concept, it’s completely free and available on the Nintendo Switch, so it’s worth giving a go. Essentially, the app is aiming to replicate the sensation of cable surfing, with material cycling in and out and being only populated with Pokemon content. You also have the option of logging in with your Pokemon Trainer Club account or by using the app as a guest, depending on your preferences.
Here’s what Nintendo had to say about it:
“Pokemon TV is a wonderful way to catch up on all of the best Pokemon content available! Enjoy the adventures of Ash, Pikachu, and their friends—as well as animated specials and highlights from the Pokemon Championship tournaments—on Cartoon Network. Get access to hundreds of episodes (including entire seasons), animated specials, and exciting competitions for the Pokemon Trading Card Game and video games all in one handy location—all in one convenient location. “Content is updated on a regular basis!”
You can tell right away that this service will be useless for some of you. Pokemon TV is similar to streaming content houses that contain random seasons and episodes of series. It’s ideal for parents who want their kids to watch something secure and controlled (not like YouTube), however much of this stuff is available elsewhere, with better UI and quality.
