Today marks the 12th anniversary of Batman: Arkham Asylum

Over the years, we’ve had a variety of games based on Super-Heroes, most of which were basic and, in the end, didn’t appeal to many fans, until Batman: Arkham Asylum arrived, a game based on our favorite bat that was released on August 25, 2009, and is still going strong today, August 25, 2021.

As the title suggests, the game takes place at Arkham Asylum, a place for the most dangerous and dangerous criminals. It is one of the most well-known scenes in the Batman universe, appearing not just in comic books, but also in other media like as television shows, animated shorts, and even feature films. Now, in Batman: Arkham Asylum, this is the main location where Batman will have to repel and fight against some of the universe’s most heinous villains, such as Joker.

The gameplay of Batman: Arkham Asylum follows the Beat’em up style with Hack and Slash, creating a Combo system that is combined with special techniques and Batman’s high speed to attack and protect him against enemies. Batman has no remorse and is on the run in all directions. The game also has a skill system that allows you to improve Batman even further. Aside from being equipped with a good and old batarang, you will also have access to other items that you may use as the game progresses.

Many players dislike crowds and prefer to play in the shadows, which is possible in some areas of Batman: Arkham Asylum. As it is not secret, Batman is a great detective, and this is reflected in the game, with the ability to explore locations to solve and investigate crime scenes and learn what happened there.

The Game Awards’ official Twitter account also congratulated Batman: Arkham Asylum on its anniversary.

Following the huge success of Batman: Arkham Asylum, the following games were released: Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.
