Video shows the first OLED Switch unboxing

Hikaru Kaihatsu, a renowned Japanese YouTuber, posted the first unboxing video for the Switch OLED (HikakinTV). He was able to obtain an initial unit from Nintendo.

The video goes above and beyond the typical unboxing. Although HikakinTV clearly displays all internal material, including the upgraded dock (which appears to be very recent), we can see some gameplay with certain titles presented on the new screen: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2.

This is our first genuine video vision of the OLED Switch. We shared some photographs in person last week, following the console’s arrival at Nintendo Tokyo.

As previously said, the key selling point of the OLED Switch is its 7-inch OLED screen. A huge adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64GB of internal storage, and better audio are also included. All other internal components, including the CPU and RAM, remain the same.

The OLED Switch will go on sale in the United States on October 8 for $350, with white or neon Joy-Con options. Metroid Dread will be released on the same day.
